According to Diário do Transporte, CPTM and Metrô de São Paulo have announced service changes for Sunday, November 1, and Monday, November 2, 2026, when the Finados holiday falls.

CPTM lines

On the holiday, CPTM lines 10-Turquesa, 11-Coral and 12-Safira will follow their usual Sunday timetable. Line 11-Coral will be suspended between Tatuapé and Corinthians-Itaquera from 9h to 16h because of planned works. According to Diário do Transporte, passengers should use Metrô Line 3-Vermelha as an alternative.

Metrô lines

On Sunday, Metrô trains will run on their normal daily schedule. Overnight from Saturday to Sunday, lines 1-Azul, 2-Verde, 3-Vermelha and 15-Prata ran without interruption, with all stations open for boarding and alighting.

Non-stop service continues until midnight at the start of Monday, and normal operation resumes at 4h40 that day, according to Diário do Transporte.

Monday, November 2

  • Lines 1-Azul, 2-Verde and 15-Prata will operate with a Sunday-equivalent service.
  • Line 3-Vermelha will receive extra trains to cope with the Line 11-Coral closure.
  • Line 17-Ouro, which is in transitional operation, will run from 6h to 22h.

All lines will be monitored, and spare trains will be available to reinforce the fleet if needed.

Bicycles

On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, passengers may board Metrô and CPTM trains with bicycles at any time. Bicycles must be of conventional size, and electric bikes must have dimensions similar to conventional ones. On weekdays, boarding is allowed from 10h to 16h and from 21h until the end of service. Bicycles may only board the last car, with a limit of four per trip.
