According to Diário do Transporte, the Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM) has signed a contract worth R$ 8,478,198.96 for engineering supervision of projects and works at Santo André and Mauá stations on Line 10-Turquesa, in the ABC Paulista region.

Who is responsible and for how long

The contract was awarded to the Consórcio Serra Turquesa and runs for 24 months. It was signed on 29 October 2026 and published in the Diário Oficial on 4 November, under the reference LC00526-01.

What the work covers

The specialized services include technical monitoring of projects and interventions in three areas:

  • accessibility improvements, which matter for passengers with disabilities, people with reduced mobility, older adults and those carrying strollers or luggage;
  • adjustments related to Regulatory Standard NR-24, which sets sanitary and comfort conditions for workplace facilities;
  • measures needed to meet the fire safety requirements of the Fire Department's inspection certificate (AVCB).

What the amount covers

According to CPTM, the value covers supervision only, not the full cost of the interventions. The figure refers to August 2026, and the physical works may involve other contracts and engineering stages.

Timing and passenger impact

The two-year term does not necessarily mean every work will last that long, since execution and oversight may follow separate schedules set by the company. The contract extract does not include a detailed works timetable and does not announce closures or temporary changes to circulation.

Santo André and Mauá stations serve passengers travelling daily between the ABC Paulista region and the city of São Paulo. Santo André is also an integration area with road and urban bus services, while Mauá is one of the main access points to the metropolitan system. Diário do Transporte notes that interventions at these stations could affect passenger flow, accessibility and facility safety.
