According to betevé, Barcelona Metro's L2 line will have no train service between La Pau and Gorg stations from Monday 2 November until 3 December. The closure is needed for repair work on a crack in the track slab.
Why the line is closed
According to betevé, the crack appeared after water pressure built up following the recent rainy spells last month. TMB technicians found the damage during a routine inspection. The concrete cracked and there was some movement at the switch point. Since then, trains between Artigues and Sant Roc stations have been limited to 15 km/h in both directions, and the frequency of service on the line has also been affected.
Who is affected
Passengers who use the L2 between La Pau and Gorg will have to travel another way for the whole month. Trains will not stop at the stations inside the closed section during this period.
