According to Taipei Metro Corp., the operator will extend service hours at three stations and run additional trains for this year's Nuit Blanche arts festival. The festival is scheduled for Saturday at Taipei Expo Park in Yuanshan. The company made the announcement on Wednesday.
Stations open later
Yuanshan, Minquan West Road and Zhongshan Elementary School stations will remain open for entry and exit until 2 a.m. on Sunday, the company said.
The nearby Shuanglian, Zhongshan and Taipei Main stations will be open for exit only during the extended service period. Passengers will not be able to enter or transfer at these three stations while the extended hours are in effect.
Additional trains after service ends
After regular service ends on Saturday night, extra trains will run approximately every 20 minutes. They will operate in one direction only: from Yuanshan to Taipei Main Station, and from Zhongshan Elementary School to Minquan West Road.
Bannan Line intervals reduced
On Saturday, Taipei Metro will also reduce train intervals on the Bannan Line to approximately 2.5 to 3 minutes. The operator said this is to accommodate several events, including concerts at Taipei Dome and the annual Taiwan LGBT Pride parade.
