According to an advisory issued by the Delhi Traffic Police and reported by The Hindu, traffic restrictions and diversions will be in place around Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium on Friday, October 30, 2026, for a live music concert by Diljit Dosanjh. Restrictions may apply from 1 p.m. to midnight.

Roads affected

The advisory lists 11 roads around the stadium that may be affected. They include Bhishm Pitamah Marg, Lodhi Road, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg between the Defence Colony and Lodhi Colony flyovers, Arch Bishop Marg, and the Fourth and Fifth Avenue Roads. The Barapullah Flyover between INA and Jangpura Metro stations is also on the list, along with Gate No. 2 and Dayal Singh College Road.

Diversions

Diversions will be set up at eight points, including the Lodhi Road–Dayal Singh College Road T-junction and the Kushak Nallah bus depot red light. Depending on traffic conditions, vehicles may be sent toward Lodhi Flyover, Arch Bishop Marg, Fourth Avenue Road and Aurobindo Marg.

Delhi Metro alternative

According to the same advisory, Delhi Metro will remain fully operational, and the traffic police have recommended it to concertgoers. Passengers on the Violet Line can get off at JLN Stadium or Jangpura stations and use Gates 13, 14 and 17. Those on the Yellow Line can get off at INA or Jor Bagh stations and walk to the Kushak Nallah bus depot red light to reach Gates 3, 6 and 8.

Parking and drop-off

Parking will not be available to the general public at or near the venue. Limited parking for special invitees will be provided at the Sunheri Nala bus depot and Dayal Singh College. Taxis, three-wheelers and scooters may not park or halt on the roads. Pick-up and drop-off is allowed only at three designated points: Arch Bishop Marg, Lal Masjid in Pragati Vihar, and the Kushak Nallah bus depot red light.

The advisory suggests routes depending on where travellers are coming from. Those from north-west, west, south-west and south Delhi are advised to use Aurobindo Marg and Lodhi Road to reach the Arch Bishop Marg or Fourth Avenue Road drop-off points. Travellers from the south, east and south-east can use Lala Lajpat Rai Marg to reach the Lal Masjid point.

Emergency and medical vehicles will be given priority passage. Motorists are asked to follow instructions from traffic personnel, obey diversion signs and avoid parking on roads, and to report unattended objects or suspicious activity to the nearest police personnel.
