According to Diário do Transporte, the rail companies linked to São Paulo's Secretaria dos Transportes Metropolitanos, CPTM and Metrô, will run modified services on Monday, November 2, the Finados holiday. Over the weekend, the schedules follow each day's usual pattern, with some exceptions noted below.
CPTM
On Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1, Lines 10-Turquesa, 11-Coral and 12-Safira will operate with headways equivalent to those of their respective days. On Monday, CPTM trains will follow the Sunday timetable.
Line 11-Coral will be interrupted between Tatuapé and Corinthians-Itaquera from 9h to 16h on the holiday because of planned works. Passengers are advised to use Metrô Line 3-Vermelha as an alternative.
Metrô
On Saturday and Sunday, Metrô trains will keep their usual schedules for each day, with service adjusted to demand. Between Saturday and Sunday, Lines 1-Azul, 2-Verde, 3-Vermelha and 15-Prata will run without interruption, with all stations open for boarding and alighting.
According to the source, this uninterrupted operation lasts until midnight between Sunday and Monday, when service resumes at 4h40 on Monday. On the holiday itself, Lines 1-Azul, 2-Verde and 15-Prata will run with a Sunday-equivalent service. Line 3-Vermelha will have extra trains to offset the interruption on Line 11-Coral.
Line 17-Ouro, which is in transitional operation, will run from 6h to 22h on Saturday, October 31, and on Monday, November 2.
Diário do Transporte reports that all lines will be monitored and that spare trains will be available to reinforce the fleet if needed.
Bikes on trains
On weekends and holidays, passengers may board trains with bicycles on both Metrô and CPTM at any time. Bikes must be of conventional size. Electric bikes are accepted if their dimensions are similar to conventional ones.
On weekdays, bicycle boarding is allowed from 10h to 16h and from 21h until the end of operations. On trains, bikes may only be carried in the last car, with a limit of four bicycles per trip.
