According to Diário do Transporte, candidates taking the first phase of FUVEST 2027 on Sunday, November 1, 2026, will have 39 extra municipal bus trips between Butantã station, on Metrô Line 4-Yellow, and the Cidade Universitária of the University of São Paulo (USP), in the west of the capital.

Reinforced lines and times

SPTrans will reinforce lines 8012/10 and 8022/10 between 10h and 14h. The exam gates will open at 12h and close strictly at 13h, so the publisher advises candidates to plan their arrival well before closing time.

  • Line 8012/10 (Metrô Butantã – Cidade Universitária) receives 15 additional trips.
  • Line 8022/10 receives 24 additional trips.
  • In total, the two lines will operate 194 departures, compared with 155 on a usual day.
  • Toward Cidade Universitária the lines offer 99 departures, and 95 on the return to Metrô Butantã.

Free fares on Sunday

Riders can travel for free in both directions under the Domingão Tarifa Zero programme, which covers municipal bus lines in São Paulo on Sundays from 0h to 23h59. According to the publisher, the free fare applies to any municipal bus rider that day, not only to candidates.

Routes inside the campus

The two lines do not follow exactly the same paths inside USP, even though they share the same origin and destination terminals. Line 8012/10 serves areas near the Reitoria, the Faculdade de Educação, the Biblioteca Brasiliana and the Escola Politécnica, ending at the internal terminal near Portaria 3. Line 8022/10 passes through Praça Professor Reinaldo Porchat and Rua Professor Mello Moraes before also reaching the Portaria 3 area. Depending on the building where the exam takes place, one of the routes may mean a shorter walk.

Metro connection

Students coming from other parts of the city can use Metrô Line 4-Yellow and get off at Butantã station, which gives access to the bus terminal. The line also connects with Luz, República, Paulista and Pinheiros stations. According to the publisher, the municipal bus fare waiver does not extend automatically to the metro or to metropolitan trains, which have their own fare rules.

Scope of the reinforcement

The exam is held in several municipalities, but the SPTrans reinforcement applies only to trips to the Cidade Universitária in the capital. The first phase has 80 multiple-choice questions and lasts five hours. Passengers can check bus arrival forecasts and timetables through the Olho Vivo system.
